Navaratri (Nine Sacred Nights)
Tithi & Auspicious Timing: Ashwina / Chaitra Shukla Pratipada to Navami
The nine-day divine celebration dedicated to worshiping the nine sacred manifestations of Supreme Goddess Durga (Navadurga).
Spiritual Significance:
The sacred period for gaining spiritual empowerment and vanquishing internal negativities through motherly grace.
Authentic Puja Vidhi & Guidelines
- 1Establish the auspicious Kalash (Ghatasthapana) in the morning and light the Akhanda Diya.
- 2Sow sacred barley seeds (Jawara) and recite Durga Saptashati / Devi Mahatmyam daily.
- 3Worship the nine forms: Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.
- 4Perform Kanya Puja (worship of young girls as Devi swaroopa) on Ashtami or Navami.
